Vrindavan Gardens, Mysore

I visited Vrindavan Gardens in April 2012. The name of the place is based on Lord Krishna's Playground, which is called Brindaban (it is located in Uttar Pradesh). On one side, this garden is covered by wall of KRS Dam ( KrishnaRaj Sagar Dam ) and on the other side is the plush green terrain of Karnataka. The garden has boating, lighting, fountains and a place to sit. A good getaway for families who want to have some time out from the usual routine. On weekends it becomes overcrowded because of the accessibility.

There is a idol of Lord Krishna and Radha at the centre of the gardens with the backdrop of artificial waterfall which is pretty much surreal.

The fountains are lit up with colorful lighting in the night.
